Join celebrated chef and personality Rick Moonen and local sustainable seafood champion and chef Rob Ruiz of Land & Water, Co. on a privately guided tour of Tuna Dockside Harbor complete with sustainability talks, tastings, and signed copy of Rick Moonen’s book. The package also includes VIP tickets to the Lexus Grand Tasting of the San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival with personal escort into the event, bypassing the lines. Once inside, guests will reconvene at 1:00 p.m. for a chef’s table experience by Rob Ruiz, with freshly prepared sushi and sashimi from fish procured during that mornings harbor tour.
8:30 am - Guests arrive at Tuna Harbor Dockside Market and meet Chef Rob Ruiz and Chef Rick Moonen
8:45 am - Chefs and special guests speak about the importance of sustainable fishing and the fish market
9:30 am - Walking Tour of Market which includes a whole butcher fish demonstration
10:00 am - Tasting moment, meet and greet chefs, receive Rick Moonen’s signed book, Fish Without A Doubt: The Cooks Essential Companion
10:30 am - Chef Rob will meet with group to discuss the 1:00 pm Chef’s Table experience at the Grand Tasting
10:45 am - Team will be escorted to Lexus Grand Tasting VIP entrance
11:00 am - VIP Lexus Grand Tasting opens
1:00 pm - Special Chef’s Table tasting experience hosted by Chef Rob Ruiz
