Press Registration

Press Passes
If you are interested in attending the San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival on behalf of your media outlet, you must fill out a press credentials application. You must qualify and be on assignment for press admittance. Applications are due by October 15, 2012. You will be notified by October 31, 2012 if your press request has been approved.

Media Registration Rules & Regulations
Media wishing to attend the San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival must download and fill out the press credentials application below. Applications will be reviewed and acceptance email will be sent out beginning July 1, 2012. Press admittance is complimentary and limited to one press representative and one photographer per media outlet. Guests of attending media will not be issued guest passes, however discounted tickets are available for guests once your press credentials have been approved. Submission of your press credentials application does not guarantee admission.

Freelance Media
If you are a freelance writer or photographer interested in attending as press, you must provide a letter from the media outlet you are representing on the company's letterhead with a signature from your assignment editor. Eligibility is considered on a case-by-case basis and you will be notified if your press credentials are approved.

New Media
Complimentary press admittance is available only to journalists working in conjunction with a commercial news or industry-related website. Websites must be established and updated on a regular basis with up-to-date and original news and content. Personal website writers with an established website may be considered on an individual basis. Websites that are less than a year old, website designers, editors, and creators are not eligible for complimentary press registration.

Bloggers
Bloggers will be considered on a case-by-case basis, but should at least fulfill the following requirements: must be a professional blogger, have an established audience, and receive at least 10,000 unique visits per month. Bloggers must be able to show verifiable proof of these statistics. Blogs must cover industry-related news and be updated at least 3 times a week with original content. Bloggers are required to fill out the "Blogger Questionnaire" at the bottom of the press credentials application.

Please be sure to read the "How to use the Photos" text document which contains instructions for use and how to assign photo credits. When using photos, always be sure to credit the appropriate photographer.
