At the San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival, we know a hot new foodie spot when we see one! Right now, we have our eyes on Seaport Village’s newest addition, Eats by Sam by Sam the Cooking Guy.

Emmy-Award winning television personality, Sam “The Cooking Guy” Zien has earned a reputation as the “everyman’s cook,” appealing to the masses over his decades-long career.

Earlier this year, he announced plans to launch a new Seaport Village restaurant in partnership with Grain & Grit Collective. Now facing delays to the full sit-down experience, Sam pivots by launching a multi-concept “ghost kitchen” venture dubbed Eats by Sam including concepts like Samburgers and Samwiches!

Eats by Sam’s hoagies, Not So Basic Samburgers, and selection of wine + local craft beer are now available for patio dining or delivery on UberEats, GrubHub, DoorDash, and Postmates. The “ghost kitchen” is open Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM and Friday through Saturday from 11:30 AM to 8:30 PM.

Eats by Sam has found a temporary home at the former Buster’s Beach House venue serving as a fast-casual outpost until Sam’s full-service restaurant and bar opens in Spring 2021. The expansive patio offers plenty of open-air seating and a large stage which will accommodate live concerts and more!
