Daniel Ruiz began his culinary journey at just sixteen years old, working in the kitchen of a retirement home in his hometown of Palm Springs. His passion for cooking has only grown since. Now specializing in Japanese cuisine as Head Sushi Chef at Lumi, Daniel loves experimenting with global flavors and creating dishes that make guests’ days brighter. For him, the most rewarding part of being a chef is seeing people happy because of his food.
