About

Catt Fields White is the Founder and CEO of Farmers Market Pros, promoting financial

sustainability for small farmers, entrepreneurship for small businesses, community

engagement and better tasting food at farmers markets throughout the US, Canada and

beyond. She produces the InTents National Farmers Market Conference, now in its

tenth year. That 4-day event brings farmers market operators, farmers and foodmakers

together to gain skills that improve their market operations, and enlists policy makers to

advocate for local food systems. She is the co-host of Tent Talk, the weekly farmers

market podcast and offers online education and community at the Farmers Market

Forum network.

At San Diego Markets, Catt launched the Little Italy Mercato, still the largest farmers

market in San Diego County. She’s spent 18 years bringing farmers to the city and more

than 25,000 people to the table weekly by developing and managing farmers markets in

urban San Diego neighborhoods, and now also coaches farmers and community

markets in Oregon, Illinois, Pennsylvania and beyond. She speaks about food, markets

and business at conferences and events worldwide.

Catt’s dedication to local food systems is inspired and motivated by her nine

grandchildren and her determination to preserve healthy and delicious food options for

them and coming generations.
