About

Chef Bryan Garcia is the Executive Chef at Cork & Craft in Rancho Bernardo. He discovered his passion for cooking at a young age, starting as a dishwasher at Julian Café at just 14 years old in his hometown. By 16, he had worked his way up to a line cook, where he began developing a deep appreciation for the craft. From early on, Chef Bryan viewed cooking as an art—constantly experimenting with flavors and exploring creative plating techniques.

He honed his skills in the fast-paced casino industry, working in the food and beverage department at Barona Resort & Casino. The nonstop environment taught him the importance of efficiency, adaptability, and maintaining a strong work ethic. Over the years, he gained experience in nearly every kitchen at the resort, with a particular focus on the steakhouse, where he built much of his culinary foundation.

Now leading the kitchen at Cork & Craft, Chef Bryan has found the opportunity to refine his voice and showcase his culinary style. His cuisine is rooted in bold, fresh flavors, often drawing inspiration from Mexican and Spanish influences. With a focus on vibrant peppers, herbs, and seasonal ingredients, his goal is simple: to create dishes that leave a lasting impression—one that makes guests say, “wow, that’s good.”
