As Winemaker for Bodegas de Santo Tomás, David Nágera carries forward the legacy of one of Mexico’s most historic wineries. Founded in 1888, Santo Tomás has played a defining role in the evolution of Mexican wine, and today Nágera leads the winery’s next generation of winemaking with a deep respect for its heritage and remarkable estate vineyards.

Based in Ensenada, Nágera works across the winery’s diverse estate vineyards in Valle de Santo Tomás and Valle de Guadalupe, crafting wines that express the distinct soils, elevations, and coastal influences of each site. His approach emphasizes balance, elegance, and a true sense of place, while building upon more than 135 years of winemaking tradition.
