Do you consider yourself a whiskey connoisseur? Take a seat in what will be one of the most coveted events during this year’s Fest. In addition to learning all about the history and origins of Bourbon in the United States, the production methods, and the art of the craft, you will taste through a flight of six premium whiskeys including the elusive Pappy Van Winkle 23 (a pour will run you around $299).

“If God made Bourbon, this is what he’d make,” said chef Anthony Bourdain in a 2012 episode of The Layover.

Read more about the lengths some have gone to in order to get their hands on Pappy Van Winkle and more of the famed bourbon’s story here. Want to study up before attending? The American Bourbon Association’s got you covered. No need to have the lingo down but you can also brush up on terms and slang used by those really in the know.

Following the class you will be invited to continue to enjoy your whiskey with locally sourced charcuterie, cheeses and chocolate.
