Fellow foodies and tastemakers, The Bad Boyz of Culinary are cooking up a mouth-watering showcase highlighting four of the best up-and-coming black chefs in a head-to-head people’s choice competition. Judging will be done blind, by attendees based on presentation, technique, and taste.

About Bad Boyz of Culinary
Chef Quinnton Austin and Chef Kelston Moore started their brotherhood after co-founding the Louisiana Purchase. They decided to create a foundation to benefit San Diego’s culinary arts education, bringing local chefs together to create the Bad Boyz of Culinary. Bad Boyz of Culinary’s mission is to highlight African American chefs and create awareness through mentorship, special programs, and events.
As a collective of goal-oriented chefs in the urban community, Bad Boyz of Culinary provides support and education in culinary arts and business logistics. They believe that unity will set a precedent that will dissolve barriers, promote positivity and collaboration, and provide recognition in the culinary community.
From catering luxury private events and to leading culinary programs at various restaurants, these chefs recognize that there is an array of chefs just starting their career that could benefit from a hub of accumulates knowledge and mentorship.
