A Foodie's San Diego Summer Bucket List
At the San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival, we know that mixing good weather, great company, and most importantly delicious food is the recipe for an awesome summer! Though travel plans have been postponed, San Diego has so many fun experiences for locals to enjoy. We’ve compiled summer bucket list items for every foodie to enjoy in America’s Finest City.
Dine “as Romans do” in Little Italy
Most restaurants have transitioned to an al fresco or outdoor dining experience in response to health and safety guidelines. Many travelers know that this style of dining is common in other parts of the world, but for San Diegans this is not the typical dining experience.
Though local restaurants, bars, breweries, and cafés already offer outdoor dining, specific communities are allowing for businesses to expand their outdoor seating into the streets. Here’s where you can dine safely under some San Diego sun:
Little Italy: Streets close every Saturday starting at 12:00 PM, click here for a list of participating restaurants.
Encinitas: One lane (in each direction) on Coast Hwy 101 between D and E Street will be closed.
In the works: Poway, La Jolla Shores, North Park, Hillcrest, and El Cajon
Mini Road Trip: Taco Shop Edition
