David Low
David Low’s journey into winemaking began with a harvest in 2002 at Papapietro Perry Winery, when he moved to Healdsburg and quickly became captivated by the hands-on nature of the cellar and the art behind the process. That experience cultivated a deep passion for Pinot Noir and led him to Williams Selyem Winery, where he further refined his craft over two more vintages. Even while working at Williams Selyem, David continued spending weekends working with Papapietro Perry, assisting founders Ben Papapietro and Bruce Perry. When the winery expanded, he returned full-time—and never left. Now more than two decades in, David oversees every aspect of winemaking at Papapietro Perry and has been instrumental in upholding the winery’s commitment to single-vineyard Pinot Noir of clarity, structure, and place.
