Dustin has worked in wine production, sales and education for 20 years, from the Napa Valley to abroad and now in the Alexander Valley of Sonoma County. In the spring of 2021, he co-founded ACTA Winery, Estate Vineyards and Farm, where he runs the day-to-day operations of the winery, winemaking direction and oversees the farming of the estate vineyards and olive orchard. ACTA produces small lots of quality-driven wine, sourcing fruit from a number of small vineyards to accomplish this. Dustin and his wife Leigh, along with children; Peyton (12), Reid (10), and Skylar (7) make it a family affair at ACTA, and long days of work, overnights at the vineyard and an ever-growing appreciation for the land have been the voyage for the Moilanen Family as they rehabilitate, reinvent, and invigorate the 16 acres that is ACTA. Dustin proudly serves as Vice President of the Alexander Valley Winegrowers Association and on the Board of Directors for the deLeuze Family Charitable Foundation.
