About

Fernando Pérez Castro is a visionary viticulturist, entrepreneur, and one of the leading figures behind the evolution of Valle de Guadalupe as Mexico’s premier wine region. Since 2004, he has helped shape the valley through a collection of acclaimed wine and hospitality projects, including La Lomita, Finca La Carrodilla, and Lunario, each rooted in a deep respect for the land and the region’s unique identity.

Driven by a commitment to sustainable agriculture, Pérez Castro led Finca La Carrodilla to become the first winery in Mexico to earn organic certification for both its vineyards and winery. Today, the estate is recognized for its regenerative farming practices and thoughtful, terroir-driven wines, while Lunario has earned both a Michelin Green Star and recognition as Latin America’s Sustainable Restaurant of the Year by The World’s 50 Best Restaurants.

Through every project, Pérez Castro has championed an approach that seamlessly connects viticulture, gastronomy, and environmental stewardship. His leadership continues to inspire a new generation of Mexican wine while helping define the future of Valle de Guadalupe as one of North America’s most celebrated food and wine destinations.
