Inés Flores
My culinary story begins in Molino Viejo, Baja California, Mexico, the place where I grew up and where my family has built an important part of their lives around the sea.
Tiburón's Pangas, our family business dedicated to sport fishing, is part of my roots and the memories that connect me to this community, its landscapes, and its people.
However, my greatest inspiration in the kitchen comes from my mother, Laura. Through her, I learned the value of family recipes, the flavors that bring people together, and the love that can be shared through a dish. Her cooking was special, not only because of how delicious her dishes were, but also because of the love and generosity with which she shared each one.
My mother was a well known and beloved woman who left a lasting impression on everyone around her. Her recipes became part of our family history. Her seasoning, her teachings, and the moments we shared around the table are a legacy I carry with me, inspiring me to keep those flavors and memories alive.
For me, gastronomy is much more than preparing food. It is a way to honor my roots, tell the story of where I come from, and preserve the traditions that shaped me. My connection to Molino Viejo and Tiburón's Pangas reminds me of the importance of family, while Laura's recipes represent the heart of my culinary story.
This biography is a tribute to my mother and the legacy she left me. Every recipe that lives on in our memories holds a part of her; every flavor can bring back a moment, a lesson, and the love with which she cared for us. As Ines Flores, I want to honor that heritage and keep it alive in everything that cooking means to me.
My culinary story is rooted in my family, in Molino Viejo, and above all, in my mother's love.
