Chef Israel Ortiz is a culinary leader with over 22 years of experience working in diverse kitchens across the Southwest and California. He has spent the last 11 years in California, following seven years in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he was part of the opening culinary team for Hotel Andaluz in 2009.

Throughout his career, Chef Israel has supported and led culinary operations at large-scale hospitality destinations, including properties like Harrah’s Resort Southern California and Sandia Resort & Casino, gaining deep experience in high-volume service, special events, and guest-focused dining programs.

His approach to food is rooted in approachability — thoughtful, well-executed dishes designed to bring people together — and in leadership that values mentorship, teamwork, and strong kitchen culture. Chef Israel believes food has the power to create connection, both at the table and within the community.
