Born on January 25, 1992, Jorge Bravo is a chef whose passion for gastronomy has been the driving force of his life. His training at Festen Gastronómico was just the beginning of a career forged between the sea and the kitchen, two elements he defines as his greatest sources of inspiration.
In 2015, Mazatlán became the stage for a culinary awakening. Working at the restaurant La Mazatleca, Jorge discovered the magic of seafood, a deep connection that would lead him to explore and master the flavors of the ocean. However, it was in Tijuana, upon his return in 2016, where he solidified his culinary vision. For eight years, he was a key part of Grupo La Corriente, making a significant impact at the iconic Bodega 8 and La Corriente Cevichería Nais, where he left an indelible mark with his unique and daring style.
In February 2024, Jorge took his talent to Casa Tijuana, where he worked alongside the renowned Chef Juan Cabrera. There, he not only learned new culinary techniques but also received guidance and support from Chef Cabrera, who helped him discover and develop his full potential as a chef.
Since January 2024, Jorge has brought his talent to Grupo Gula, leading the kitchen at Punta Mar, a restaurant located in Encinitas, CA. In this new environment, he continues to push the boundaries of cuisine, maintaining his commitment to creating culinary experiences that blend tradition with innovation.
For Jorge, cooking is more than a technique; it is an art that allows him to relax and unleash his creativity. Every dish he creates is a masterpiece that challenges the conventional, combining tradition and cutting-edge elements with a touch of madness that only he knows how to balance.
