Juan Pablo Guerrero García
Juan Pablo Guerrero García, known as JP, is a chef and restaurateur from San Quintín, Baja California, Mexico. His passion for gastronomy led him to create Kuu Paau Restaurante, a personal project that reflects his view of cooking as a meeting point between culture, family, and the stories that shape a region’s identity.
His culinary approach is inspired by the cultural diversity of Baja California, particularly the culinary traditions of families who migrated from southern Mexico. Through his cooking, he seeks to explore this richness of flavors and reinterpret it through his own perspective, with respect for ingredients and a curiosity for new possibilities.
As the owner and head chef of Kuu Paau, JP combines creativity in the kitchen with the challenges of running his own business. From developing dishes to creating a welcoming dining experience, every aspect of the restaurant is an opportunity to keep learning and define his identity as a chef.
For JP, cooking is a way to connect with people and tell stories without words. Through Kuu Paau, he hopes to contribute to San Quintín’s culinary scene by building a concept that reflects his surroundings, his influences, and his personal growth as a chef.
