Nino Zizzo

Chef Nino Zizzo is the Executive Chef of the Busalacchi Restaurants, where he blends modern creativity with the traditions of his Sicilian heritage. A longtime member of the Busalacchi family’s restaurant legacy, Zizzo began his career in the early 1980s as a pizzaiolo before opening and operating several restaurants of his own. Today, he leads the kitchens at the Busalacchi Restaurants with a focus on authentic Italian and Sicilian flavors, highlighting fresh seafood, locally sourced produce, specialty meats, handmade pastas, and artisan pizzas. His approach balances time-honored techniques with innovative ideas that continue to push Italian cuisine forward in San Diego.
