About
Phil and Eileen Gregory are the founders of Vena Cava, one of Valle de Guadalupe’s most innovative and influential wineries. Since establishing the winery in 2005, the husband-and-wife team has become known for crafting expressive, small-production wines while helping shape the creative spirit of Baja California’s modern wine movement.
Originally from the United States, Phil, a former aerospace engineer, and Eileen, an accomplished landscape architect, brought a fresh perspective to Valle de Guadalupe. Their distinctive winery—constructed from reclaimed fishing boats and sustainable materials—has become one of the region’s most recognizable architectural landmarks and reflects their shared commitment to creativity, sustainability, and thoughtful design.
Today, Vena Cava is celebrated for its experimental approach to winemaking, producing wines that embrace the unique character of Baja California’s vineyards while continually pushing the boundaries of tradition. Through their pioneering vision, Phil and Eileen Gregory have helped establish Valle de Guadalupe as one of North America’s most dynamic wine destinations.
