SDFW Opening Night: Icons + Legends is the Festival’s official start — an elevated tasting experience that brings together award-winning chefs and world-class producers for one unforgettable evening. It’s the best of the best: poured and plated.

Taste your way through a curated showcase of luxury and highly awarded wines and spirits as global producers pour limited-release and coveted selections from their most celebrated portfolios. Expect rare bottlings, standout vintages, grower Champagnes, and exceptional pours rarely opened outside of private cellars — the kinds of bottles people talk about long after the last glass.

On the culinary side, acclaimed chefs from around the country present refined, flavor-driven bites designed to complement what’s in your glass. Thoughtful pairings. Bold technique. A few surprises along the way. It’s a night made for discovering new favorites and returning for one more unforgettable taste.

Icons + Legends VIP

VIP access offers an even more exclusive way to experience the evening. Reserved for only 50 guests, VIP unlocks access to highly allocated and hard-to-find pours, rare vintages, caviar service (yes, caviar), and distinctive flavor pairings not available elsewhere in the event. It’s intimate, indulgent in the right way, and designed for those who want to explore at the highest level.

Grand Weekend festival events include sample sized food and drink. Full sized portions are not provided. Ticket fees grant access to the venue and the entertainment value therein, including, but not limited to; music, chef demos, competitions, and provide a comfortable and safe environment (security, advanced first aid services, additional bathrooms, hydration stations, shade, seating, etc.). Food and beverage tastings are taxable at a value of $25. The tax is included in the ticket fee.
