The Ecology Center – A World Away and Right in Our Backyard

The Ecology Center in San Juan Capistrano, South Orange County, is somehow a world away and right in our backyard.  It’s a special blend of old-world appeal and a new vision for a future worth inheriting.  This 28-acre Regenerative Organic Certified farm is a unique example of what can happen when we bring the Culture back to Agriculture.

For 15 years, The Ecology Center has been a model for health.  Hosting field trips, festivals, workshops, movie nights, and speaker events on a beautiful and ecological demonstration of gardening and sustainable design.  Early on, The Ecology Center learned that by bringing community back into the conversation on food, they could move the needle in the most unexpected geography.  Over a decade into the Community Table experience, The Ecology Center is the premiere ingredients-driven, chef-led, under-the-stars farm dinner on the west coast.

Community Table is an opportunity to connect with the land, the people who grow our food, our esteemed chefs, and those around us over an outdoor, live-fire prepared, all scratch-made, local, fresh, seasonal Regenerative Organic dinner.  Having hosted chefs to the likes of Samin Nosrat, Javier Plascencia, and Alice Waters, The Ecology Center’s Community Table Dinners attract the most value-aligned chefs in the bio-region.

Every Friday night between March and November, a new chef prepares a 5-7 course dinner, with every ingredient coming right from the farm (with local dairy and protein from Southern CA).  The season’s change and the menus are never the same at Community Table.  The Spring Series launches on March 1st, with seats available now.  The lineup includes a diverse and internationally-recognized group from San Diego to Baja CA to LA, with meals featuring Mexican/Japanese fusion to classical French cuisine.
Save your seats now at https://theecologycenter.org/community-table/ as they all sell out, and fast.
