Established in 1945, Brandt Beef is a family owned and operated ranch in Southern California. Brandt Beef prioritizes sustainability and is dedicated to delivering top-quality products to restaurants and consumers alike. In fact, they received the Seal of Excellence from Master Chefs’ Institute, which recognizes excellence in foodservice and retail products.

Brandt Beef has been a longtime partner of the San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival, and since 2021, they have hosted the “Brandt Beef Experience” at the Grand Tasting, where festival goers have the opportunity to savor the flavors of Brandt Beef through an array of dishes in collaboration with some of their restaurant partners. The program highlights the ranch’s “Head-to-Tail” initiative in order to showcase respect for the animal and minimize the amount of waste in regards to cuts. In 2023, participating restaurants included San Diego hot spots such as Ranch 45, Sbicca Del Mar, and The Pit Barbecue, and San Diego Zoo. Upon entering the activation, guests were welcomed into a lively atmosphere, complete with lounge seating, live DJ, and sips from Bay City Brewing and Storyhouse Spirits.

 

In addition to their brand activation at the Grand Tasting, Brandt Beef was a protein sponsor of the festival, donating beef to chefs and restaurants who participated in dinners and specialty experiences as well as San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival signature Grand Weekend events. This program showcased Brandt Beef creatively prepared by some of the best culinary talent in San Diego among luxury consumers of food and beverages and allowed Brandt Beef to deepen their wholesale relationships in the market.
