About

Antonio Proa was an illustrator before learning to write and a painter since he was teenager. He is inspired by his childhood, by the drawing skills of his brothers, and by the great masters of the Mexican Art school.

Antonio concluded his degree in marketing and immediately entered photography school. After, Antonio attended cinematography school where he met teacher Cathy Catalan and studied VISAGISM at the French make-up school Claude Fourot and Cathya Catalan, Paris/Barcelona. Where he concludes his preparation and becomes sensitive to art and decides to devote himself entirely to painting.

Antonio participates in countless exhibitions in Tijuana, Mexico, and San Diego, obtaining great acceptance and promoting collecting, which encourage him to venture into other latitudes.

He soon received invitations to exhibit in places like Boston, LA, Valencia, Barcelona and Paris, where his ArtWork “Zapata in Red” was exhibited at the Mexican embassy in France (Paris) next to great masters of Mexican Art.

Currently his work is collected in Mexico, USA, Spain, France, Germany and Korea. His work is exhibited in the gallery called Antonio Proa Studio & Gallery, in Mexico (Tijuana) and USA (Little Italy, San Diego).
