About

Christian began his culinary journey in Valle de Guadalupe and the U.S. He launched the Irene Food Truck and later, “El Puerco del Mar,” highlighting the cuisine of a seaside diner in Ensenada. In 2017, he introduced “Asador Campestre” at Casa Frida in Valle de Guadalupe, sharing his acquired culinary experiences.

His next enthusiastic project was “As de Guía,” focusing on local produce and daily catches. Chef Herrera celebrates Mexican gastronomy, drawing from his childhood memories and the rich offerings of Mexico. He’s particularly fond of chilies and smoke.

In 2024, he’s unveiling a new venture in Tijuana: INNATO Cocina Rebelde, a Baja California cuisine concept with a twist of contemporary Japanese dining. Christian values authenticity, cherishing his roots, and continually innovates while respecting traditional ingredients. His collaborations with fishermen highlight his deep connection to the sea and local produce.
