About

While on a study-abroad program in France, David fell in love with wine in the vineyards of Provence while sipping on a glass of beautiful rosé. He worked his way through college and beyond, in restaurants applying his passion for wine to his work.

After earning a BA in French from UNC-Wilmington, David moved to Costa Rica to learn Spanish, and opened his own restaurant there where the jungle meets the ocean. He eventually returned to his home in Wilmington, North Carolina, to pursue a wine career.

David entered the wine industry by working with a distributor as a sales rep, followed by a position as a Regional Sales Manager with family-owned Importer, Winesellers, Ltd, where he got to know the Zuccardi family very well, working with them on their visits to the US.

He now works as the US National Sales Manager for the Zuccardi Family, representing their two wineries, “Bodega Santa Julia” and “Zuccardi Valle de Uco”, both located in Mendoza, Argentina. Familia Zuccardi is a 3rd-generation, family-operated business, and the Zuccardis are leaders in innovation and wine production from South America.
