Hailing from the heart of Isaan, Thailand, Chef Ket Sirivach has brought his culinary visions for the distinctive flavors of northeastern Thailand to San Diego. His culinary journey began in his grandmother’s kitchen, where he honed the age-old secrets of Thai-Isaan cooking. His mastery lies in the art of crafting dishes that encapsulate the essence of Isaan cuisine and its harmonious blend of bold and bright flavors.

Upon arriving in San Diego, Chef Ket worked in various kitchens before settling into the now-shuttered, Thai Papaya by Sab-E-Lee in Linda Vista.  He came on board as head chef and partner at Mekong Lao & Thai Cuisine in 2021.  At Mekong, he has been able to bring his bold flavors and authentic Isaan traditions to help transport diners on a delectable journey to Isaan’s bustling markets and lively street food scenes, all within the dynamic mosaic of the Convoy Asian Cultural District.
