Taco TKO Competition
The mouthwatering battle for the title of San Diego Food + Wine Festival’s Most Awesome Taco is on! Your challenge, should you choose to accept it: Put your tastebuds to the test and cast your vote to determine which taco will take home top honors in our annual Taco TKO competition.
Attendees and a panel of esteemed judges will cast their votes to crown the taco champion. With up to $3000 in cash on the line for the winning chef, you’ll want to be there to cheer on your favorite taco and savor every bite of the fierce competition!
Wine + Spirits of Mexico
Explore the exquisite wines and spirits from Mexico, featuring selections from renowned regions. Taste the rich flavors and craftsmanship that highlight Mexico’s unique terroir and tradition. Enjoy a diverse range of offerings, from bold reds and crisp whites to artisanal tequilas and mezcals.
Baja Pavillon
Experience a vibrant showcase of the region’s finest wines, craft beers, spirits, and gourmet cuisine, brought to life by acclaimed chefs and artisans. Discover the flavors and traditions that make Baja a culinary destination, all in one dynamic pavilion.

Judges' Choice: Best Bite
Grand Fiesta heats up with an all new competition category – Best Bite.
A panel of star judges will taste their way through every flavorful entry, crowning a winner for both taco and non-taco dish. Then, it all comes down to one final showdown where the top taco goes head-to-head with the top non-taco to determine the overall Best Bite of the Fiesta.
Winners in each category take home $1,000 cash and a plaque to hang with pride.

Grand Weekend festival events include sample sized food and drink. Full sized portions are not provided. Ticket fees grant access to the venue and the entertainment value therein, including, but not limited to; music, chef demos, competitions, and provide a comfortable and safe environment (security, advanced first aid services, additional bathrooms, hydration stations, shade, seating, etc.). Food and beverage tastings are taxable at a value of $25. The tax is included in the ticket fee.
